Your therapist will take a detailed case history asking questions about your general health, current or previous injuries. We will give you a clear explanation of all our findings (diagnosis) followed by a treatment plan most suitable for you.
Normally treatments consist of soft tissue and muscle energy techniques, gentle-to-firm joint manipulation / articulation, with the goal to improve the range of movement in restricted joints.
If unsuitable for treatment, or we believe your condition requires further investigation; a referral letter to your GP will be provided.
After your Initial Consultation and treatment, you will be offered a complimentary followup appointment within a week of your first treatment.
We offer this at no additional cost to you as we are committed to monitoring your progress after your initial treatment at our clinic.
After your Initial consultation you will be given a working diagnosis.
The 2nd treatment normally involves manipulation / articulation of the spine and joints, and massage of soft tissues.
During your Initial consultation you will be given a working diagnosis. If this involves ME/CFS, Fibromyalgia or Long Covid you may be suitable for The Perrin Technique™.
The Perrin Technique™ is an osteopathic method which stimulates the movement of fluid around the brain and spine which further helps drain the toxins from the cerebrospinal fluid.
These manual lymphatic drainage techniques direct the toxins into the bloodstream, where they are eventually expelled by the body or carried to be detoxified in the liver. This helps the sympathetic nervous system return to its normal function and symptoms improve.

Please discuss with your therapist the type of massage that you require. We usually provide Deep tissue massage, but you can request Swedish or a Relaxing massage.
Deep tissue massage lengthens shortened muscles and fascia allowing blood, lymph, and nerve transmission to flow through restricted areas. This type of massage increases blood circulation, restoring physical and chemical balance to the body. This relieves stress and alleviates the symptoms of chronic aches and pains.

Reflexology is a complementary therapy that focuses on the pressure points found on the feet. Each point is connected to a different area of the body. The pressure used by the therapist on specific points of the foot sole is applied to release tension and tightness. Feet are a very sensitive part of the body and are very responsive to stimuli; they are connected to internal organs, nerves, muscles, and glands through the nervous system. The feet can reveal a lot about a patient’s general health condition and reflect whatever is happening within the body.
The therapist can locate the spot of tension on the foot and release it using specific techniques. Reflexology is linked to many benefits, and it is known to restore physical and mental balance. The treatment can also reduce muscular tension, pain, fatigue and relieves anxiety and stress, promoting healthy sleep patterns.
Other reflexology benefits include helping boost the immune system, minimise sinus and nasal congestion, reduce headaches and help to improve digestive function. It also increases blood circulation and oxygen level, which encourages the elimination of toxins from the body.
However, reflexology is not carried out to diagnose or cure diseases. Reflexology has been effectively used for centuries and can bring about many positive changes to the body.
